Textile covered folio containing twenty-seven woodblock prints; the first group of sixteen by Migita Toshide (1863-1925), depicting Kabuki actors, vividly colored and with gauffrage; he next eleven depicting theatrical scenes by Toyohara Chikanobu (1838-1912) also with fresh and vivid colorations. Included with the folio is a typed explanation of the subjects of each from Dr. Campbell's records. 14 1/8 x 9 3/4'' ea.
