18 kt yellow gold and sterling silver pendant/brooch with black nylon cord, 2009.  The background is an uneven rounded rectangle with uneven edges.  Soldered to the top of the plaque, an in relief, is a crow approximately 2 1/4 x 1"w an 1/4" thick.  The crows golden claws clutch a sterling maple leaf tree trunk.  The leaves are gold and silver and arc over the crow .  In lower left background is a snow capped Mt. Fuji and to the right of the mountain is a golden moon.  The eye of the crow is a small black diamond set in a gold bezel with the overall surface textured in varying degrees.  A black oxidization is also applied to the background areas. Artist monogram on verso.

Entire piece weighs 42.7 DWT with the gold weighing approximately 3.8 DWT

This piece was designed by Jim Mazurkewicz for Potter Mellon and was his last piece completed before he retired.
