On the following stationary- Tribunal Revolutionnaire/ Etabli a Paris, au Palais, par la loi da/ 10 Mars 1793/ L'an II de la Repbulique/ Accusateur- Public. Translation reads- ''The warden of the house of arrest (i. e. prison) called the Conciergerie hands over to Thuinies, bearer of the present the following (list of names who have been discharged). And the warden of the house of arrest called La Liberte will receive and keep them, the above named, at Paris this 7th Prairial, year two of the republic one and indivisible. A. Q. Fouquier/ Fouquier- Tinville'. Fouquier- Tinville, the public prosecutor, is always mentioned as the personal embodiment of the awfulness during the revolution and Reign of Terror periods.
