A nearly life-sized carved sandstone, coated with a thin layer of lacquer,  exemplifying the  artistry of early Ayutthaya sculpture, with delicately arched brows above gently downcast eyes, a subtly smiling mouth, and a well-defined nose, the head is adorned with a tightly textured coiffure surmounted by a rounded ushnisha, symbolizing spiritual wisdom, and flanked by elongated lobed ears, signifying enlightened perception, set on  9"h;  (13 1/2" h with base)

Part of left ear missing, some wear and loss of lacquer covering
